Christmas Fun!

I love Christmas because there is always so much to do and see!
Here are some photos of our activities so far!
NUTCRACKER
On the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend my sister Liz, her daughter Maddie, my mom, sisters Heather and Katie, and Haylee and I went to see Ballet Ettudes performance of the Nutcracker at Chandler Center for the Arts. It was so fun to go to the show that we used to be in with our little girls. Haylee kept telling me that she wants to be Clara when she gets big! She absolutely loved it and it was nice to go out with just Haylee and spend some time together. Afterwards we went and got some ice cream. It was so much fun.

All the girls. Maddie, Grandma Treats, and Haylee

They had Santa there, so Haylee got to sit on his lap. We also saw Haylee's friends Grace and Mae with there mom Erica and Grandma at the show!

After the show, my Uncle Kent who does the stage crew for the show, let Haylee and Maddie and her two friends up on the stage to say hello to Clara! Haylee was in heaven. She was so excited to be able to get close. I asked her what she said to Clara and she said that she got a little bit shy and didn't say anything to her!

SUGAR COOKIE FUN!!

My friend Erica invited us over to make Christmas sugar cookies. The kids had so much fun rolling out the dough, and decorating them with frosting and sprinkles. Even Addilyn got into it. Well, at least into the flour part! After decorating the cookies, it started to rain and all the kids ran outside to play in it. They danced and sang in the rain. They may have even liked it better then all the cookies!
SO TIRED!!!
After church on Sunday, Addilyn was eating one minute and then the next she was asleep. I have waited since Haylee was born for a 'sleeping in the food picture' and it finally happened. I had to document. This is the result of her not getting a nap late on a Sunday afternoon.

ROCKETTES
A couple of months ago, I found a great deal on some orchestra level seats for Rockettes. I immediately went and purchased them. Every day after that for about two weeks Haylee asked when we were going to see the dancing girls. On December 6 we went. This show is AMAZING and if you get a chance it is well worth the money!! It is also so fun that we get to enjoy it without having to travel to New York! Haylee loved every minute of it and at the intermission she decided that she wanted to be a dancing girl when she gets big and then showed me a kick just like the girls! The best part is that it ends with a touching depiction of the Nativity including live animals on stage! Here are some photos from their official site and a shot of the three of us at the show. Addilyn got to stay with Aunt Ashley. (Thanks again Ashley)

The toy soldier part is one of my favorites and I am very happy that they have not taken it out!
Dance Recital!!
This morning was the big day. Haylee had herfirst dance recital for Mrs. Erica. It was a huge success. It was cold and wet, but the girls did great. Haylee was so excited and danced so beautifully. I will post video as soon as I download my new camcorder (Merry Christmas to me!!!). So the still shots will have to do for now.
Raegan, Haylee and Gwen
Julie, Haylee, Grace, Erica, Raegan, and Kaylani
This photo is unique as we all danced together at Jeanne's School of Dance and now we all have girls that dance together! What fun!
Mrs. Erica and Haylee. Hayee and cousin Maddie (she is in Mrs. Erica's older class)

Ryan gave Haylee some flowers for his pretty dancing girl! She was so excited.
I am sure this will not be the last bouquet!

Ok, so this comment applies to your last few blog entries. I had lots of catching up to do today!
I wanted to tell you again that you really did a great job on the song for the family party. It is so nice to have someone in the family who is willing to share their talents! And you have so many!
I love how your last few entries relate to dance, since we just talked about that at the party! It is just perfect that you have 2 cute little girlies!
Looks like you had a fun and busy holiday week!
