I have never been one for April Fools tricks, but this year I decided I wanted to do something (not mean, just tricky). So my sister Liz and her kids came over for dinner. We made cupcakes (mashed potatoes colored pink and blue and meatloaf). They couldn't figure out why the frosting didn't taste sweet and then laughed when we told them April Fools. Haylee didn't really understand and was a litte bit upset by the switch! The best was that night my father-in-law came over and saw them sitting on the counter and asked if he could have a cupcake. After checking it closer he asked what they were and Ryan got to steal my line and say April Fools!

That's a good one. :)
Thanks for the GREAT night, Julie! My kids had so much fun saying "april Fools" to Tyler, even though he knew right away they weren't cupcakes! That was fun, and delicious!
That's awesome! What a fun way to make dinner seem a little more party-like. Great april fools too. Thanks for the great idea!
