The month of July!

For all but 9 days of July, I was at my parent's cabin in Pinetop, mostly with my sisters and their kids with the occasional visit from one of the hubbies or grandparents. Seriously this has been such an amazing month. The kids got to play OUTSIDE everyday and had constant friends built right into the cabin. Needless to say I got tons of projects done, lots of good reading, learned how to use a cricut machine (thanks to Kylie, Denise's friend, who came up for the last week for teaching us mad cricut cutting skills), improve my photoshop scrapbooking skills, and most of all just a lot of relaxing. Activities such as staying up way too late and laughing until we cried were common! Something about having the windows open and an afternoon rain storm almost everyday does something for the body and mind. It has been heaven all except that Ryan couldn't be there the entire time. Lucky for him his month has been filled with Mission friends coming to town for a guys weekend at our house, late halo nights with his brothers, and a trip to Havasu Falls with the priests. So my reason for not posting so often is that the cabin does not have computers, Internet, or cable. Talk about detoxing. So when I was home between laundry and repacking, my computer time has been pretty limited. So here are some of the last pictures from our month in the mountains... seriously recommend! Who new July in AZ could be so perfect! My sisters and I have decided that we will stay the entire month next year and the hubbies can come up when they are available. I can't wait till next year. Thanks Liz and Denise for such a fun time.

Bath Time Fun!!!
Playing at the park
Day outing to Greens Peak (a serious storm kept us from staying too long!)
I finished some sewing projects while at the cabin and this fabric left over. So my sister Liz and I (who I might add have a collective 1 year of sewing skills between the two of us, with no lessons, just a lot of trial and error learning) decided to make skirts for all the girls. It started because I tried to make Haylee and skirt and it ended up looking like a mermaid fin. After adjusting it a little, it was okay and the other girls wanted one too. So we cut and sewed all these little skirts for the girls (with some help from Denise and Kylie). They turned out so cute! So here they are showing off their new skirts and tons of personality!!!
Definitely America's Next Top Model! Go Addilyn!
Addilyn wasn't a very good napper/sleeper due to the noise/excitement and just being naughty. So one day I put her in her crib to nap with a diaper and bloomers, because she refused to get in her dress and I was done. I came in and found her like this. She had apparently gotten fed up with her clothes and diapers. I just thought her little body looked too cute to pass up on a photo.

I am so jealous! It looks like you had a blast - and rain storms! How nice. What a great way to get away from the heat and break up the mommy monotony!

How FUN! I think that's the only downfall of working from home - I can't just leave for long periods of time. Looks like you had a blast!

Ooooh, so fun up in the mountains with your sisters! what a great way to get through the heat of summer. How fun to go up to Greens Peak, we used to go every summer during our Heap Family Reunion. As a kid I thought we were the only ones who knew about running down Greens Peak, apparently not. Glad you guys had such a great time.

Allison,
It is not full buns... anyway buns are my favorite and Addie's are plump, just about the only thing on her body that is. In fact, one day I was trying to take a photo of her from behind in the bath and she wouldn't stand up, so I am sure that if she had a choice, she would not like it so much, but that is tough beans!
