First day of JoySchool

So the big day has arrived. Addilyn is big enough for Joyschool! We opted to go with Joyschool this year instead of traditional preschool for lots of reasons but these were the top
- close to home (sometimes at our home and allows me to get to the bus stop for Haylee)
- a little more per Addilyn's style (she can be very shy)
- the right time (so I can pick up Haylee from the bus)
- fun for mom and Addilyn because I get to be the "teacher" (she thinks that this is pretty cool!)
- her friends get to come to our house for school
- less expensive
The day started with me waking Addilyn up and reminding her that she had Joyschool today. Haylee kept telling her how fun it was going to be and she got ready so fast. They ate breakfast and Addilyn let me do her hair just so. She wore a really cute little dress and was so excited. So we got Haylee off to school (8:25 AM) and then we had some errands to run and took some first day of school pictures.

Then we went to Max's house where Joyschool would be held for the first day. When we pulled up to the house she was excited, but we were a little early and so we waited for a couple of minutes in the car. When it was time, we walked up the sidewalk and she was so excited. Then right before going inside, she started to get big eyes and then came running back to me. I was right there and so we walked into school together. She was very emotional and didn't want to stay. Then Mae her bestest friend came walking up the stairs in the same dress (they were twins). After Mae and she hugged and showed each other their dresses, she was good to go. They went downstairs to play with toys and never looked back. I left feeling happy and relieved that it had gone so well. I also realized that I will have 2 hours twice a week where it is just me and Elyse (Holy Cow! Just think of all the errands, vt, etc that I can do in that time! Why did I ever think that one was so hard. I guess perspective is everything!).

(taken right before the tears...)

After a brief but fun 2 hours I went and picked Addilyn up. She was happy and excited to tell me all about Joyschool. I managed to snap this one shot of the "twins" at Joyschool.
Mae and Addilyn

Thanks to Mae and inexpensive matching Walmart dresses... Joyschool was a complete success! Thanks Erica for helping them match!
