New Years was AWESOME this year...
We had almost the entire Bingham Family (about 55 people) over on New Years Eve with some extras and some missing. :(
Jeremy and Ryan decided to do a fry fest and so the menu was born, a night of frying anything that could be dipped in a batter, and surprisingly it was all amazing. You might stop here and say that is disgusting, but seriously it was delicious.
So the night went like this...
Everyone arrived about 7-8:00 PM and we got the oil hot. We cooked it outside on Ryan new camp stove. Thanks Jordan for such an awesome Christmas gift! And yes it was FREEZING! Jeremy and Ryan (with some help from Caden) did most of the cooking and they were such champs about standing out there in the cold. We cooked and ate for the first few hours. The menu: (I sampled most of the items below and yes it all tasted amazing!

- The grand final for the night included ringing in the NEW YEAR with... FIREWORKS!!!!!!!! yeah for AZ and passing a law that allows us to celebrate. So in honor of our ability to legally blow stuff up the men in the family put on a firework show for the entire family that was quite impressive. I bought some regular sparklers and then some extra long ones for the little children to do. Everyone contributed a little bit on the firework show, but we need to give a big shout out THANK YOU to Ryan Sexton (Jill's brother) for bringing in the bulk of the firepower. The guys built a small fire in a fire pit that provided the flames and we proceeded to be entertained. The kids loved it. There was even a little chicken firework that laid an egg... never knew some of this stuff existed! We counted down and then brought in the new year with the traditional kiss and sparkling cider... apparently we didn't provide glasses! Ha, I must have overlooked that detail oh, well we just passed the bottle around!Sparkler fun!
this one I took the picture a second too late as the sparkler had just gone out... My cute Addilyn! After being outside for a while she came in and was crying because her feet were hot. I took her shoes off and they were actually freezing, just in the defrosting mode! Who would have thought in AZ.Haylee being cautious about getting burned! Loving her new boots from Santa! He has such style.Elyse was tired and cold and this is where she staying until after 12:00 when I held her and she fell asleep in the middle of all the firework noise! She was exhausted.the show...complete with the kids and adults jumping through the fountain of sparks!
- New Years Kiss with my man!Addilyn having a little sparkling cider!
Kallee enjoying some as well! This is where Elyse ended up at approximately 12:15 AM and continued to sleep (yes fully dressed in party clothes) until 10:30 AM the next morning
After the firework show Addilyn laid down beside me and the next thing I noticed, she was out cold... so off she went to bed (yes fully dressed in her party clothes too!)Enjoying the new year! The party shut down at around 3:30 AM and most everyone had left. Haylee had decided that cousin Payden needed to stay the night. They told me they weren't tired and wanted to stay up playing Just Dance. So I said goodnight and took this last little picture.Happy New Year!
(Haylee the next morning informed me that they had stayed up till 4:00AM and I believe her because she knows how to tell time!)
New Years Day traditionally we go to the desert with my family to ride quads, shoot guns, and have a campfire, but the weather was so cold and the wind was really strong that it was decided that we would stay in town and just hang out at Grandma Treat's house. (good call as we found out later that our favorite spot was closed down). So at about 11:30 (when I finally woke up because my amazing husband let me sleep in) We ventured over to my moms where we spent the day relaxing and the girlies played with their cousins. While we were there, my Dad took the boys to go check on the gofer traps. When they got back we found that Kash (my nephew) had been bit. Don't worry the gofer was found and his older brother proceeded to knock its head until it was good and dead. (I love how protective they are of each other!) They brought it home to make sure it was not a sick animal, treated his wound and he was the hero for the day. We played some cards and enjoyed ourselves completely.the cousins... well some of themKash, the gofer and his bite mark (see band aid on left hand)the dead gofer
