So, I have only one week until my half marathon. Up to this point, I have had a large bit of anxiety about actually completing the race without dying, until this morning when my sister Denise and I ran 12 miles as a final preparation run for the big day. Yes you saw/read correctly, 12 miles. That is from 10th street and Palmer to Adobe and halfway to Greenfield and then back!!! I actually felt pretty good and only had a little time period where my knee decided to hurt. But all in all we did it in acceptable time for the race and now I know that 13.1 for the half marathon race is not so far fetched. The best part of the race is that a large chunk of it is through Disneyland and California Adventure. So I get to run in one of my favorite places! This should make things go a little more quickly and keep me distracted! So wish me luck as we begin the last and final week of training.

You will do GREAT!!! Super work! Impressive!
Thanks Karyn. I appreciate the support!
Ju- you are amazing! I seriously wish I was going with you! I thought 5 miles was great- I have some work to do! Think happy thoughts...
holy cow you are amazing. have a great time and good luck!!!
You're like super mom or something...I swear, you do it ALL! I'm so jealous at how fit you are! Good luck, and we'll look forward to seeing some pictures of the big race!
you're so awesome! good luck! today Gwen was spinning around and saying that she wanted to dance with Haylee. It was soo cute.
GOOD LUCK! I am bummed that I'm not going to be there! My sister is running in the Disneyland 1/2 marathon, too and we planned a family trip around it pre-pregnancy! I kinda ruined that one but a 4 week old at Disneyland just doesn't sound fun to me. You'll do great!
Thanks to all the support, but I am far from Super mom... I am struggling to get the laundry done everyday. Ryan is supportive (the more toned body may be part of the incentive to be supportive) and so it makes it really easy to train. I will post photos next week! Thanks again. Lindsay- That would have been so fun to see you. I took Addilyn to Disneyland at 2 months and she was great (eat, sleep, poop) you know the routine. It worked though, because we had all the kids and I was ver good at nursing in public at that point. At 4 weeks, that is a little too germy for my liking! Good call.
Julie...I will definitely let you know about the scrapbook thing. I am defintiely going to make books for grandparents...probably for Christmas....so if I don't have time to actually scrapbook it...I will definitely let you know! I will check the site out, soon. Thanks for the advice and the information!
Julie,
You're superwoman, I swear. How fun to do a half marathon through disneyland (the disneyland part more than the running part but oh well). Good luck! Is it just you and Denise?
Good Job Julie! I will make sure that I remember to cheer for you on that fantastic day!
