We Survived!

Thank you all for giving me lots of horror stories about Chicken Pox. I fully expected a nightmare for 2 weeks. To my surprise we have survived and had a pretty good week. We were able to visit Grandma Treat's house lots of times and her backyard is basically a park, so the kids were quite entertained. The weather has been so beautiful so we spent a lot of time playing in the backyard, and my neighbor has 4 little puppies that we would go over and visit regularly. So being forced to stay at home, not go shopping, and enjoy some quality time with my girlies has been wonderful. Now as you are reading this, some of you may be spitting nails at me. Do not assume that my WEEK was perfect. Yes you read that right. Addilyn's chicken pox appeared on the 2 March 2008 and were completely scabbed over by 9 March 2008. About 150 total with the majority on her back. I kept her in long sleeves and pants and really she never even knew they were there except in the bath. When she did see them she would rub them and cry. She had 3-4 in her ears and those were the only ones that even bothered her. After a nice oatmeal bath, calamine lotion, and a little Benadryl she was a good little baby! So thank you for painting a horrible picture of the chicken pox. I expected much worse which made our case quite tolerable!
Here are some photos of the girls in the sinks. I would bathe Addilyn in the sinks in the late afternoon to keep her awake, entertained, and contained. Haylee of course wanted to join in on the fun.

Whatever!! Like you got off that easy! Chicken pox ARE horrible. Seriously, it was the worst two weeks of my life...

I am glad that Addilyn's weren't worse, though. And so sad about the lump in the groin!

Yeah!! Glad you survived! I'm glad it was "easier" than all the horror stories! You have had a busy week! Glad everything was ok!
