Our weekend went a little like this...
Thursday: Thanksgiving morning we went to the zoo with the Palmer family (this has been the tradition since I was a kid. I think it allowed my mom some time to get everything ready without us there). Now everyone comes and lunch is fixed after! It was cool and a little rainy which actually made viewing the animals amazing and the girls got to finally wear their little rain jackets!
the Palmer grand kids
Lunch with Bingham family at our house. Everything tasted so yummy! We ate then relaxed, took naps, watched the game, ate some more, relaxed, ate... you get the idea! Lots of yummy food and hanging out. I am so thankful for family. How blessed we are!
Addilyn giving her cousin Jayden a ride! Cousins hanging on the fence!
Introducing Coco and Jon... the newest cows. We have had them for a little while and keep them at our neighbors backyard but here they are in eating the extra grain for Thanksgiving!
Friday: I woke up early and went shopping... I got some sweet deals. Then I came home and took a 3 hour nap (thanks Ryan).
After I woke up, Ryan and I decided to paint the porch. Sounds okay, except we wanted to spray it and so we had to hang plastic and then the wind picked up. Needless to say the job got done with some serious skills and it looks amazing. All the while, we were trying to keep the girls out of the line of fire. Pictures are courtesy of Haylee and Addilyn. Addilyn was exhibit A.
Notice me and Ryan in the background trying to keep the plastic from blowing into the freshly painted posts.
At 4:00 on Friday we had pictures with the Palmer family. Here is a nice one of our little family. All cleaned up from painting!
On Saturday after the painting fiasco, we hung our Christmas lights. It was so easy this year because all the hooks were still in from last year and I happened to label all the lights and where they were plugged in at. Seriously it took some time last year on the take down, but so worth it!
the girls having a picnic watching the lights go up.
Sunday we put up our tree. Ryan found it for $10.00 after Christmas last year. It is supposed to be pre-lit 6.5 ft tall and it is closer to 5.5 but that is okay as my old tree (that was given to me 3 years ago) is a pain to put together. The girls loved every minute of it.
Monday we went to zoo lights. We got all bundled up and had a great time. Ryan and Haylee even rode the camel. Haylee decided that next time she wants to ride it herself without Daddy!
They have an amazing light show to music which ran every 3 minutes. I was seriously impressed and so were the girls as they stayed on our laps the entire time.

looks like you've been super busy. At least everything will be in order for the baby to come. Oh! I had a dream last night that you named your baby Avery Lenore. So strange that I would dream about that for you!
Ha! That name sounds like a cabbage patch name.
I like your zoo tradition! That may be one I will add to my fam someday.
Thanks Kaylani for the dream and name selection. I actually like Avery, but don't know about Ryan's opinion.
The zoo tradition has always been my favorite and it is really empty.
ju-you have been one busy girl! take it easy...when i called you the other day you sounded stressed. i'm glad you're enjoying your last few weeks of being pregnant and i hope you get to make it to your show and christmas party. btw, did you see the amazing race last night? did you recognize stuff?
hooray for holiday fun!
ju-do you have a name picked yet?
if not, what do you think about lydia, violet, hazel, elise, campbell, laurel, sage?
just some ideas. i just played kaylani's game so i thought i'd tell you some too.
I must say I love The picture when all the kids are on the fence. Bentleys face makes me laugh!
