Just a cute photo of my Elysie girl putting on some of Daddy's socks. I love this little princess. She is always so sweet and full of smiles. She loves to give kisses and have attention from her Daddy.
My Haylee girl is 6!
Since the spring she has been planning a little Garden Tea Party. So here it is in all its glory.
We made some tea party invitations and she delivered them to her friends
Knowing it was July and so hot outside we had to create a fun tea party feel inside. I used streamers, pompom balls, and some pretty chairs and linens.
We served little no crust sandwiches, grapes, crackers, and cheese.
Haylee requested a tea party girl cake and this was what I came up with.
We had been collecting tea cups from the thrift stores and various lacy pink things for decorations to seriously set the tea party mood. I bought these little hats for party favors and for the guests to wear during the lunch from Halo Heaven (my favorite website for everything) The girls all looked so cute..
I asked our friend and Haylee's favorite babysitter Tessa to come and help doll all the girls up. She did their nails and a little make-up as they came in.
We made little place cards with the guests names on them and as they came they found their name and put it where they were sitting. It was fun to see how much they enjoyed seeing their names on little cards. We had tons of different kinds of tea cups and saucers and this one behind Haylee's plate was the most beautiful one that I found at the thrift store and Haylee LOVED that hers was so special!
After getting dolled up we took the girls photos. In the invitation, Haylee told them to wear party clothes and everyone looked great. Haylee had asked me to make her a long to the floor dress in pink. Well considering my sewing skills are limited, I found an adult pink skirt at the thrift store, added fabric to the shoulders to make some sleeves, hemmed the bottom, added a flower and some gathers and sparkle. She absolutely loved it and wore it for days after the party.

Haylee and Grandma Treats. (my angel mother!- thanks Mom for helping)
My Sweet Haylee girl. Happy Birthday to you. I love you and can't believe that you are 6! You make me so happy. I love how you are such a good girl and so kind to your little sisters. So patient and witty. You always have something clever to say and the best part is that you are always ready for fun!
We went up to the Show Low cabin where Ryan was working with his Dad and then we went to dinner and fireworks. It was so nice to be a little chilly at night. I found a little tutorial online for bandanna dresses... so here they are. Yes, I love matching!
Happy 4th of July
On the drive up I found Elyse like this... pretzel in her mouth and totally asleep! Addilyn thinks it is fun too!
Fireworks... a little chilly so Daddy shared his shirt! Ahhh the two headed monster
The girls and I stayed at the cabin with my sisters and their children. We played outside and did crafts and just enjoyed ourselves. We were going to stay for a couple of weeks, but on July 9 Addilyn fell from the monkey bars and got tangled in a baby swing and landed on her arm. After realizing that it wasn't just a little wound and that she couldn't bend it, I took her to an urgent care. The first thing she said to me in the car with tears running down her face, was "mommy I won't be able to practice my splits." A the urgent care they did x-rays and then after realizing that there was a fracture, sent us to the ER. Denise and Liz took my other two girlies. What would I do without my sisters... She had been screaming so hard that by the time we got to the ER she was crashed out. I held my little Addilyn on my lap and tried to keep her comfortable. Ryan was in the valley getting ready to go to scout camp. He got ready and started driving up. My Dad and Ryan's dads and Kallee were all up in the mountains and came to visit in the ER and Kirk gave her a blessing . After more painful x-rays they said it was a compound fracture to the lower ulna on her left arm. The doctors were unable to work with her because of the pain so they gave her a little IV with some happy medicine and after a few minutes Addilyn was very comfortable and silly. They put her IV arm on a little board and her thumb was loose and she kept telling me that her thumb was free and then would giggle.
After all was checked out ,they wrapped it in a hard sling and sent us on our way. Ryan got to the hospital around 1 am and then we went back to the cabin and had a rough night's rest. The next day Addilyn woke up happy to see Daddy and was hungry. Her arm was wrapped and she kept looking at it funny. We asked her what happened last night and she had a hard time remembering. She never once complained of any pain and showed me how she could keep doing her splits. She didn't like all the attention that she received because of her sling.
Ryan left on Saturday night and went to Scout Camp. I drove home Monday with Addilyn and Elyse (Haylee stayed behind) and we went straight to a pediatric orthopedic doctor where he took more x-rays and she screamed. We found out that it was a compound fracture and a dislocated elbow. We went to surgery the next day at Phoenix Children's Hospital. Ryan came home early from Scout Camp and we got the girls with babysitters for the day.
The hospital was great and Addilyn was happy as a clam to have mommy and daddy all to herself. Here she is in her new pjs.
The surgery was going to have to include some pins and a long healing process. We were concerned but Dr Shrader was excellent. He put her under and then tried to manipulate it a little to see if her could get it back into place without surgery. About 20 minutes after they took her away, the Doctor found us and told us everything went perfect and the bone slipped right back into place. After all was said and done Addilyn was the proud owner of a new pink cast. Here she is the night of her surgery. Apparently the medicine made her very hyper and we had a late night with our little patient.
Nathan (my youngest brother) got married to Abby. It was a beautiful but hot wedding. We had the little girls in black and white with yellow flowers and jewelry and the mommas wore black with yellow accents like shoes... it was a really fun wedding and the best part was everyone was there. We were all together and it was awesome. Abby is so sweet and we are so excited that she is in our family now. My sister in law Jenn (at 81/2 months pregnant) decorated and it was amazing... as usual!
picnic wedding dinner with lots of meat of course
Cute little collection of fun things put together by my sister in law Rachelle Addilyn LOVES meat!

Our air conditioning in the bedroom part of our house went out and so we moved the mattress to the family room and had a sleepover for a night (Ryan is sleeping in this photos... I am so sneaky!)

Poor Addi! Being a mom is scary sometimes. Leland keeps telling me to get used to the idea of the ER with 2 boys in the family, but I'm not ready for it! Your hair looks great BTW.
