Here is June 2010...
I came into the office and turned on my computer and found NOTHING on my hard drive. After getting very upset, I called Ryan and he then called the computer guy. Within the day it was in the computer company's office and he and his AMAZING team worked for a couple of days retrieving all our photos and home videos. We went and picked it up and this is what was left of the old external hard drive. All I can say is that I am very grateful to these smart men who saved EVERYTHING. What did I do after this? I started backing everything up and you should too!
Trip to California. We met Jeremy and Jill and their family at the beach. We found a great rate on a hotel and spent the day playing in the CA sun. The next day we went to Sea World. The kids had a good time seeing Shamu and the other shows, but for the money, it doesn't really have all that much to do. I had been when I was a child and now I know why we haven't really been back. They have one little area where the kids can ride rides and the rest of them are for taller children. I don't think we will be back for a while. Elyse got to stay home on this trip because after spending a day at the beach, and Sea World, we drove down to Anaheim and spent the night at our friends Chris and Raena's house. We had our free Disneyland passes through the Give a Day, Get a Day program they had going on so we thought it might be more fun to not have a baby. Let me tell you Disneyland without a baby was SO FUN! We ran all around the park and had a great time.
After a day of fun at Disneyland we spent a little time with Chris and Raena and then drove home.
The Beach...
The Beach...
Sea World (Haylee and Ryan went on the Atlantis roller coaster)
feeding the stingrays...
Disneyland
yes we waited in the line for Tinkerbell..
the Johnsons and the Binghams
Haylee and Addilyn's cousins Kacie and Savanna were in the play Annie Jr. with a local studio. The girls loved seeing their cousins acting on the stage. They did great.
1st Birthday Party for Scott's little daughter Paisley. The guys were all there, so we made them pose. It was a fun water party in their grandma's backyard. She also has a real monkey!
Haylee was signed up for swim team at Kino. Go KRAWDADS! The first couple of days she didn't like it because it was hard to swim all the way across the pool but by about the 4th practice she was in HEAVEN. This girl is definitely her daddy's daughter. She is a fish! She participated in the meets and did very well. Here she is at practice, in the green cap.
I wanted her to do Synchronized swimming as well so that practice was right after swim team. She LOVED synchro from the beginning. Hey, ballet in the water how could she not love every minute of it. She liked the meets and generally did very well. Go Haylee!
Haylee and Addilyn participated in Erica Soelberg's production of Mary Poppins with her singing group. They had so much fun.
proud daddy!
proud daddy!
Ryan's brother Jeremy had his Graduation from Medical school. It was at a resort and the food was delicious. We got to get all dressed up and have a night out. The medical field is fascinating to me and the graduation ceremonies are full of tradition and inside jokes as these people have spent an amazing amount of time together. Great job Jeremy!
Addilyn participated in a little gymnastics class from a little girl down the street. It lasted for two weeks. The first day of practice she came home and said look mommy... the proceeded to do a bridge pull up all on her own. Go Addilyn! She did great on her tricks in the little dance recital. (she is the littlest one second in from the right)
My friend Erica and I took the girls to see the Princess and the Pea at the Hale Children's theatre. They got all dressed up and we sat in the very front row and the characters from the play interacted with the girls the whole time. It was such a fun morning. Thanks Soelbergs.

River trips... yes we LOVE kayaking and we love the river. We have accumulated a few more kayaks so we took some groups out and had a great time. Here is Ryan's new magic jersey and some new shades that Ryan found in the river... yes a little dirty, but hey you can't beat free.
We attended cousin Braylin's baptism. Here are all the girls!
