This Christmas Ryan and I had hopes to be super organized and have everything ready so that even if it was a late night we could still get some sleep... and surprisingly before leaving to the Bingham family Christmas Eve festivities every present was wrapped but 2 and ready to be set out for Christmas morning. This was so nice and next year I must refer back to this post to encourage myself to not procrastinate... okay enough mind wandering.
Christmas Eve festivities started at Bingham's with fry bread and sides and lots of playing by the Grandchildren. Then we served up hot cocoa (in the coolest cups ever from Smart and Final) and donuts (Thanks Tristine) and got bundled up for the hayride.Addilyn is obviously super excited
Elyse only likes eating the frosting of anything, so this is how her donut looked when she was done.
We took a little different route and did a longer hayride this year and it was so much fun. The grandchildren have been talking about this for weeks! Caroling, hot cocoa and, a hayride, doesn't get much better then that! I always get to ride solo as Ryan is driving the truck but the girls kept me company.

After the hayride we came back and had a message from Grandad Kirk and then the grandchildren opened their gifts from Grandma Muriel... pjs!
Then they did their cousin gift exchange and then were sent out of the room to play while to adults did their gift exchange.

I had Brittney and decided that I needed to make her an "All About Brittney" basket filled with things that she loves. The biggest hit was a calendar that was made from Costco with little pictures on the number dates where it is someone's birthday (you should check it out!) and thanks to Facebook I got everyone's pictures! Ryan and I scored with a new air popcorn machine which tastes so much better then microwave stuff! Thanks Jeremy and Jill
We got home and set out the stockings and got everything ready... Elyse fell asleep on the drive home.
Everything all ready to go! Taken in the morning as we had to wake the girls up, yes they were exhausted. The empty plate (Haylee and Addilyn had made some hot cocoa to go for Santa and thought that he would like something to take!) Addilyn put one of her jolly rancher candies on the plate for good measure!
We had them open their stockings and then a few gifts then it was off to church. It was so wonderful to have church and sing Christmas hymns and remember the reason for the day. After church we finished with gifts and then played all afternoon.
checking out their loot!
Addilyn screamed when she found this in her stocking... pink nail polish, just was she wanted!
Elyse showing off her new pink ballet slippers
Daddy doing his duty of passing out the gifts...of course with lots of little helpers.
Aunt Ashley started making beautiful jewelry this year and so for their jewelry gift from Daddy, we ordered some in their favorite colors! Not only jewelry, but matching bows too!

Around 2 we went to my moms house and more presents and chaos. Here is my dad trying to keep some sort of order with 20 little helpers all excited to open the gifts!
We had my brother and sister in law Jenn and as a little part of their gift we had a girl named Jenny Frame make this glove that is called the "intamitt" which allows the cold to not break up your hold! (you can hold hands in the glove... super fun!) She makes them out of refurbished sweaters and they are actually really warm! Here they are showing off how it works!
We stayed over and played and hung out with cousins till late and then played some more at Bingham's, needless to say when we got home everyone was so tired and ready for a long winter's nap! So happy that Monday was a holiday!
