I have started training for the Disneyland half Marathon. Call me crazy, but I decided that if I was going to try and get serious about exercising, that I needed a goal. I like everything about this event, except the 13 miles part. We get to run through Disneyland, California Adventures, and around the bases of Angel Stadium and more... so it will definately break it up. A friend of mine and I have completed our first week of training and got up to about 31/2 miles a day! So exciting. Now maybe I can loose the rest of this baby weight!!!

Julie,
Although I do think you are slightly crazy it is good to know you have joined the club! I like people so much more when they hit "crazy" so I am proud of you. :-)
Good luck and keep us all posted on how well it goes. If I were to ever run a half marathon (which by the way would NEVER happen) it would have to be through Disneyland to at least make it interesting enough to keep going. I don't run just to run. There has to be some sort of ball involed.
I know you will be awesome!
Is this the half marathon that is over Labor Day weekend? My sister is running in that! I was supposed to go to Disneyland with them but with the baby, I think I'll stay at home. :)
You're definitely more ambitious than me! Good luck!
Stretch - Stretch - and Stretch some more... be especially kind to the shins... many many years ago when I undertook such a thing I was set back by a shin splint, so this is my friendly advice so you don't have to go through a minor setback in training and wear a big beautiful boot for eight weeks!
And as far as your baby weight - WHATEVER! :) Where is it??? Your right foot??
The best part (in my opinion) is that doing something like what you are doing will speed up your metabolism for YEARS after... making it easier to keep off future baby weight!!
Thanks for the advice Karyn!. I remember that I saw you trainin for a marathon once, is ths the same thing?
