My little baby turned two on September 26. She has really been into Cnderella "rella" lately so I decided I would make a Cinderella cake, we would BBQ, and sing to her small and simple. We also bought a bike last day after Thanksgiving sale for $20 and have been storing it waiting for her to be big enough to ride it. So on Monday night, September 29, we had a small party for her. All day as I was cleaning, baking rolls and decorating her cake she kept saying "Addie" then holding her fingers in 2 said "two." We have been working with her on holding two fingers in the air for a couple of weeks so that she would be able to do it all by herself without holding her fingers down when it was time for her birthday. On Monday morning, she woke up and showed me that she could do it on both hands without help! So we sang Happy Birthday to her all day long. At one point she was playing and I was decorating her cake, kind of worried that it wasn't working as I wanted it to. Addilyn came into the room and climbed on the chair and said "cake " "rella" "Addie!" She was grinning from ear to ear. She knew that that cake was for her and that she was the birthday girl. Immediately I knew that the cake was perfect regardless of the little details that I was fussing over. Oh sweet little angel. At 5:30 the Grandparents et al came over and we ate BBQ chicken, pasta, pototo salad, and yummy homeade rolls. Then we sang Happy Birthday and before we could sing the "Cox family song" Addilyn had blown out one of her candles. So we relit it and then sang the second birthday song and then she blew them both out. Thanks Grandma Muriel for the amazing presents, movie and clothes. I can't wait for winter so she can wear them and we have already watched the movie everyday since the party! Thanks Denise for keeping Haylee all day while I got ready for the party. I kept trying to get photos of her at the party, but she never would give me a non-cheesy posed smile! Oh well, she is such a cutie and we just love getting to know her fiesty little personality more everyday.

The "rella" cake!
Just some little things about our Addilyn:
1. weight: 22lbs (5%)2. height: 33.75 inch (49%)
3. she loves her sister Haylee and constantly is making sure that Haylee has her toys, treats, etc.
4. gets so excited when Daddy comes home and goes running to the door screaming "daddy" every time
5. loves her blanket and baby and has to take them EVERYWHERE!!!
6. she hates when I wash her blanket and I have to do it one the sly everytime or she will cry and try to hit the washer and then she tells Daddy that I washed her blanket and gets a very angry look towards me.
7. Loves to play with her princess dolls and will twirl the prince and princess around and sing la la la. (sometime I need to sneak up on her and video when she is pretending)
8. She has an obsession about undressing dolls, polly pockets, etc, and then putting their clothes back on... not a fun game for mom... my solution, the new "snap n style" dolls by fisher price (go and check it out if you have this problem at your house)
9. she refuses to sleep in her crib anymore and insists on sleeping in Haylee's room (which is fine, just a little earlier than I was expecting)
10. She is a little commander and bosses her daddy and anyone for that matter around. She constantly is telling Ryan how to play, what to play and exactly his role in playing.
We just love our little Addilyn and can't wait for all the fun things that life will bring.
