A Bat Mitzvah!

On Saturday, Ryan and I attended a Bat Mitzvah for a friend's daughter. It was such a great time. We went to the Jewish Temple in the morning. I have never been to a Jewish service before and really thought it was a great experience. Ryan also recieved one of the yamakas that was specially made to wear for ceremony. After the temple, we met up with the party at the Wild Horse Pass Resort and Spa in Chandler. It was all decorated in a rockstar theme complete with VIP passes and reserved VIP tables. The food was amazing, the DJ actually had EVERY adult up dancing at several times throughout the day which was impressive, the open bar with an unlimited amount of Shirley Temple's for me to drink was the BEST, the company was great and overall the girl who it was for looked like the belle of the ball enjoying every moment in her honor. They also had this awesome cake that was a guitar, like on Ace of Cakes. It was amazing! We also got to participate in the traditional dance (the one with the chair held up high that you see on movies a lot) and Ryan was actually one of the men who held the chair. It was so fun to be a part of this special day for the family as well as for their daughter, not to mention getting all dressed up for a special occasion. We spent the day dining, dancing, and just relaxing. Thanks Holly (Ryan's sister) who spent the night and babysat all day for us. We really appreciated knowing our little girlies were in good care. Also thanks to Katie my little sister who had this great dress that hid my growing belly pretty well!

Julie- You did not borrow a dress from your little sister Katie when you are 28 weeks pregnant and FIT INTO IT!!! That is just evil to everyone who has ever been pregnant! Ha ha.
The bat mitzvah looks like it was so much fun. How cool to experience the culture first hand. Wish I was there to bust a move with you :).

It has some serious extra fabric that hides everything. It looks so much better when the underneath slip part isn't stretched to full capacity.
