Turning 28 and Celebrating the 4th

After branding the cows we drove to my parents place in Pinetop where we stayed. July 4th we went to the parade in Show Low (tends to be long but we only got there for the latter half!) I love parades... that is all there is to it! After the parade, I went shopping with my sisters and mom while the dads took the kids home. Shopping in Show Low? Yes, at Blossom. I got a new skirt and some shirts and some free jewelry because of the holiday! Then to sonic for lunch then back to the cabin where I took a 2 hour uninterrupted nap. Thanks Ryan. Seriously that right there could have been it for gifts. It was seriously such an amazing nap! We hung out for a while and then had a delicious ice cream cake that Ryan bought for my birthday, opened some presents (2 Carrie Underwood cds I have been wanting and some new perfume... thanks so much Ryan) and then off to the fireworks. Fireworks also are one of my favorite things so it is nice that these two items always fall on my birthday. It always makes it perfect! When I was a kid, I liked to think that all those fireworks were just for me! We got to wear sweaters and snuggle under blankets and watch fireworks and celebrate our nation and the freedoms that we enjoy. After the 4th of July weekend, Ryan drove home and we stayed till Wednesday of that Week. (8th of July)
Ryan loves parades... so does Elyse.
