our little pony (no name yet as it is only about an hour old)
Ryan went out to shut the chicken coop (they had been out eating bugs all day long) and the other pony was acting weird so he went to check on Jewel and there he found that she had just given birth. For just going through labor, she is one tough momma. She was up running that baby all around the pen. Midway running she delivered this
and then continued on. We got some okay shots, but expect some amazing ones tomorrow in the daylight. So we got the girls up (they had just gone to bed and were being a little bit naughty and were still up). Threw on their boots and went out to see the little baby. No idea of the gender yet, but seriously... it is so cute. I am amazed at nature and how animals just know what to do. I recently read All Creatures Great and Small (great book and an easy read- highly recommended) and every day I have had horrible thoughts of me having to help with the labor of this little pony. So to find it running about and drinking from its momma was truly a miracle. Just one more testimony that our Heavenly Father doesn't miss any details.

Oh my gosh oh my gosh! How amazing! I cannot TELL you how jealous I am. And I love that book, by the way. James Herriot - love it! You should read his other ones, they're great.

Julie... it was so much playing volleyball tonight. You are so awesome at it! We really should hang out more, I mean we live pretty dang close and you are just so cute and fun. Welp, had a blast and hope to see ya next week!
