First Day of School!

The day has arrived and my baby is off on her first big adventure, without me. Haylee started preschool at Orange Patch Preschool with Miss Jennie and Miss Pam this past Tuesday. I got home from California late the night before, and she was waiting up for us. So after giving her a little gift and getting her ready for bed, I told her that she had preschool tomorrow. This really made going to bed difficult, as she was so excited.
Finally she went to sleep. The morning of preschool she got ready so fast and was so excited. I knew she would do fine as she is very outgoing and NEVER has been shy in a situation where she does not know people. So I wasn't worried that she would be sad or anything. I drove her to class and walked her to the door. She had her homework in hand ready for the big day. We opened the door and before I knew it she was starting to walk into the house. I quickly stopped her and grabbed a quick kiss before I sent her on her way. I ran back to my car anxious and holding back the tears. Yes, tears. I half expected them, so it wasn't a surprise, but still. I am so proud of her and am so excited for her to learn all that she is going to learn.

So here is Haylee on our front porch on her first day of school. Not the traditional first day of school poses, but what can you expect from our little Princess Haylee!!!

way to go Julie! I used to think it was so sad when they missed me, but I think it's worse when they don't! Good work...she looks so cute.

I can just picture Haylee teaching everyone how to write and read. She's a little genius!

I love her. I wish Gordon could go to preschool with her. Is Raegan going there too? (Kaylani, feel free to answer this if you are reading this.)

Julie,
Taylor was so funny when I pulled up your blog. I thought he was looking at Haylee and talking about her, then I scrolled down and he didn't want me to or something. When I got to a picture of Addy He started jibber jabbering again, it was so cute. He and I loved looking over your blog. I am sure Haylee is loving school.
talk to you later,
Jill
