Arizona's perfect January weather + Saturday afternoon = successful hike to A mountain
Addilyn rode in the backpack on the way up, Elyse in the snuggly and Haylee, much to her sadness, got to walk!
It was a perfectly clear afternoon and not too busy. The hike is a perfect distance and easy enough for kids. Haylee was so excited to touch the A.
We ate granola bars, pointed out things of interest and enjoyed the views from the top.
About half way up Addilyn realized that it was an A mountain... just like her name, so after that we called it her A mountain and she liked that.
and another one just cause they are so cute! (notice our Jeep above Ryan's right shoulder)

On the way down, when we reached the smoother (not so dangerous for 3 year old Addilyn) path, we got her out of the backpack carrier and let her walk. Showing off our A mountain modeling skills!
Then we put Elyse in the backpack carrier and walked the rest of the way down (she was a littel concerned about her new traveling accomodations!)
The whole evening was so much fun, cheap (cost $2.00 in parking though there is a free lot closer to mill that we didn't see till we were on the mountain) and only took a couple of hours, yeah for family fun!
