New Years Day Desert Outing

From my childhood, New Years Eve was always celebrated with confetti and streamers (which you didn't have to clean up till the next day) and then going to the desert to ride quads (was ATCs), shoot guns at fruit/targets/etc, eating good food, taking nature walks and just enjoying ourselves. The tradition continued on this year as it always has. We went out to the desert at around 11 AM and we had a great time. We brought the girls little jeep and they and all their cousins had a great time riding all around, to the point where the battery died! Some of the days activities included:

Haylee and Daddy doing a little target shooting with her new BB gun.
eating yummy food: {marshmallows, chips, hot dogs, cookies}

going on quad rides (this is my dad and two nieces... because I never got a picture with my girlies and me!)

riding in the arctic cat with uncle Nate!

Ryan had a good time playing a shooting game with the brothers/cousins/etc and ended up winning one of the rounds! (Ryan has the green hat on)

Elyse played and loved that she got to get as dirty as she wanted.
Addilyn and her cousin Arys had fun playing make believe in the dirt with rocks as their people
.
Elyse playing a game with Grandma Treats... I {heart} this picture! Thanks for being such a wonderful Grandma!

All in all an amazing day. We ended up leaving as the sun was setting. It was so fun and we can't wait for next year's New Years Day picnic. Thanks mom and dad for putting it on and for the yummy food!
