Haylee's first field trip.... to the zoo!

Haylee had her first field trip for kindergarten. It was a rainy morning and we were a little worried, but it all worked out. I was able to get sitters for the little sisters and rode on the bus, per Haylee's request (how fun that I am still "cool" to her- hopefully that doesn't change too much!) Each parent volunteer was given 2 or 3 children for their group. As we were entering the zoo one there were two little girls that did not have an adult with them. The teacher told us that the mom's car had broken down so my friend Tanya and I added them our group. The kids named our group the 'Zoo Finders' and any time we wanted them to get moving we would say 'Zoo Finders' and then they would repeat "Zoo Finders" and then get moving. It was so fun to walk around holding Haylee's hand, no strollers, with her little friends from school. Due to the rain in the morning, it was empty and the animals were out moiving. Thanks Tanya for teaming up our groups and for all the fun. My Haylee girl has officially grown up and it is exciting and scary all at the same time.

Your sweet smile can light up the rooom and your pretty blue eyes are curious and inspiring. You are witty and remind mommy and daddy that even spelling words doesnt work anymore.

I love your spunk and your sweet little voice when you remind me that "its okay mom, parents aren't perfect." when I am having a hard day or am getting impatient.
I love how you love to perform and be infront of a crowd.
Your grace and beauty when you dance is unparellelled and brings me great joy as I know it does you.
You love your sisters and set a wonderful example to them.
