We have arrived...

Last Friday, Addilyn came into the familyroom with a dirty diaper in tow and handed it to me and said. "I big I wear panties..." and it has not stopped since. She has decided without much encouragement by me that she is big and needs to wear big girl panties. The amazing thing is that she has been very successful with minimal accidents.

She is also very proud of her new "big girl" status and shows anyone (even the costco receipt checker) her panties. She is very proud! She is so excited that she won't even let me put a diaper on at night and so two nights ago after she was asleep I slipped one on her with her panties over. About 2 AM Ryan and I are woken up by Addilyn screaming "I big, no diaper, I wear panties." To avoid waking up Elyse and possibly the neighbors I was creative and remembered that I had princess pull ups. I was able to talk her into wearing a pull up. The second night of potty training she wouldn't even put a pull up on, so I put a towel on her bed. In the middle of the night she woke up to use the restroom and then went right back to bed. Can it really be this easy? So we are very proud of our little Addilyn!
