Sunrise Ski Resort in AZ got an large amount of snow after Christmas, so we decided to take a little weekend trip before New Years. We stayed at my parent's cabin in Pinetop with my sister Denise and her family. Ryan and I went boarding on Saturday and Denise watched the kids.
We had such a fun time. It had been 3 years since I had gone last (and I was pregnant with Haylee at the time, so I really didn't get too into it). I even remembered how to "twirl" down the mountain without falling! (see footage below) We had such a fun day with just the two of us, and lucky for us, we board about the same well, Ryan likes to go a little faster than me, but he just waits patiently on the slopes. When we got home from the lifts, we played in the snow with the girls. Addilyn refused to wear gloves and consequentially ended up in my arms the majority of the time. Late Sunday afternoon, we were going to head home and instead we decided to stay. Haylee wanted to try snowboarding and so we took her out with a little plastic board with slip in bindings. We didn't think she would last, but about 30 minutes later, she was going down the side of the road all by herself. She even decided that she would sing a different Christmas carol while going down the hill. So here is a little slide show of the footage. Enjoy

Unbelievable! Haylee's amazing! Gwen was saying "I want to snowboard like Haylee!" So cute!!!
She is awesome! I can't believe how brave Haylee is. My girls would never try that. It looks like a fun date though. :-)
